We are already new residents of Portland, ME. We drove up there to see some apartments and ended seeing five and picked our favorite. We got a two bedroom near Deering Oak Park.

Before agreeing that this would be our new home we ate at an ultra delicious vegetarian bistro called The Green Elephant on Congress St. Looking around the city we got a pretty good idea of the sites and sounds of Portland. There are definitely some interesting people in this city. I just really hope to find a job and hopefully one that I don't hate!

Along with this chaos, Sadie was obviously not feeling well. She was basically just sleeping all day, but then after signing our lease we realized she was rather warm as well. We had to take her to the ER at York Hospital in York, ME because her primary care doctor was still up in Damariscotta. Her doctor was Elliot Smith.

No, not the dead singer/songwriter, the doctor...well a doctor. It ended up that Sadie had an ear infection, so I got her medicine and then we headed back to Eric's grandmother's to eat supper and relax.
